ACCOMMODATION

Barefoot at Havelock is set exclusively on the world famous Beach No.7 amidst pristine tropical forests. The Barefoot at Havelock resort consists of 25 elegantly designed thatch tents, cottages and villas complete with spacious interiors, modern amenities and en suite bathrooms. Constructed using environmentally sensitive indigenous materials, this is the first and only ecologically friendly resort in the Andaman Islands. The cottages are constructed mainly out of fast regenerable materials like bamboo, wood and palm leaves. Bamboo matting shapes the walls, the roofs are created from thatch and local hardwood fashions the floors of this chic cottage. The staff is well trained to handle wildlife on the campus and are conservationists themselves. Local food sourcing means you can enjoy fresh food and waste segregation ensure that the impact on the ecosystem is minimal.

Morning flight to Port Blair; ferry for Havelock

Take the morning flight to Port Blair, so you reach Port Blair before 11 am. Airport pick up will be provided, and you will be directly taken to the ferry departure point for Havelock. Catch the afternoon ferry to Havelock Island. Check-in to the hotel.

Havelock Island is probably one of the Andaman's finest with over seven serene beaches. Radhanagar beach here has actually been named one of the world's top 100 beautiful beaches by the TIME Magazine. Fairly popular for diving and snorkelling experiences Radhanagar is a marine explorer's paradise. Fine grain and beautiful white sand, Radhanagar beach also has a gentle gradient with tropical forests on the fringes of the beach. Spend your time watching the day get longer, with one of the most spectacular sunsets you'll probably ever get to see.

Visit to Elephant beach; water sports

Activity 1 - Snorkelling

Dive into the clear waters of Elephant beach and watch the colourful submerged world. The fun, guided snorkelling session is conducted by the local trainer. Before you begin the session, you are given a few interesting facts on pollution and global warming which is destroying marine life. Once underwater, you’ll have a time of your life spotting various species of fish and colourful corals. Leave your sunscreen at home if you are doing this activity. It affects corals.

Activity 2 - Scuba Diving (Optional)

Visit to Kalapathar beach; nature walk and Kayaking

Another morning and another beach in Havelock. Kalapathar is a small, fairly secluded beach with white sands beside turquoise waters. There are no shacks or benches here, and if you're looking for some solitary alone-time, Kalapathar is where you want to be. Clearwater and scenic surroundings also make this a litter-free zone, so make sure you've left no trace of your visit behind when you leave the Islands.

Kayaking - the most popular and greener way to explore Havelock Islands Mangrove creeks is Kayaking. No pollution with a whole lot of fun. Usually takes around 3 hours to kayak in the mangroves of Havelock.

Catch the morning ferry to Port Blair

Optional - Visit the local market in Port Blair, or visit the Cellular Jail (time permitting).

Later in the day, catch your afternoon/evening flight back home.

Prices may vary depending on the date you select.
