Shravanabelagola

Shravanabelagola, named after the pond in the middle Of the town (Bela-Kola means White Pond), situated about 3 hrs of drive away from Bangalore, is famous for its Bahubali Statue, supposed to be the tallest monolithic Stone Statue in the world with a height of 58 feet and carved out of a single block of granite.
The Gomateswara temple housing the statue is built on top of a hill at an altitude of 3347 feet, called as Vindhyagiri Hill (also known as Doddabetta or Indragiri). About 620 steps provide access to this temple from bottom of the hill. The statue was carved during the period of Chamundaraya, a minister of the Ganga King Rajamalla between 982 and 983 CE. The town of Shravanabelagola is famous for several Jain temples and historical sites.
Day 1
Arrive Bangalore, Drive to Shravanabelagola
On arrival in Bangalore, you will be taken to visit Shravanabelagola & Darshan of Lord Bahubali, Gomateshwara (143 Km / 2.5 hours). After the visit, drive for an overnight stay at Hassan.
Day 2
Drive to Bangalore Visiting Halebeedu and Belur
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to a stunning Hoysala temple and some other minor Jain sites at Halebeedu and Belur They are the apex of one of the most artistically exuberant periods of ancient Hindu cultural development. Architecturally, they are South India's answer to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and Konark near Purl in Odisha
Must visit - Chennakeshava temple in Belur (Darshan timing 7:30 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 19:30 hours).
Further drive to Bangalore for your onward flight.
