Airport - Kandy

On arrival, you will be introduced to your chauffeur guide and then begin your journey to uncover the wonders of this island. Visit, feel and discover. Feel the vivacity of this island nation, bask in this emerald isle’s intoxicating beauty and enjoy an extraordinary travel experience. Explore Sri Lanka’s glorious history, the rich wilderness and the bustling cosmopolitans and be amazed! Transfer to Kandy en-route visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in time to witness the bathing and bottle-feeding of elephants which have been abandoned by their herds in the wild. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is one of Sri Lanka's most popular tourist attractions. The orphanage's population has now mushroomed to around 65, making it the world’s largest collection of captive elephants. The elephants here range in age from newborns to elderly matriarchs, and include orphaned and abandoned elephants, as well as those injured in the wild. Upon completion drive to Kandy. Check in to the hotel, later in the evening witness the Kandyan traditional dance show. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Kandy

After your breakfast at the hotel proceed to enjoy the city of Kandy. After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankans as Kanda Uda Rata, which means the hill country. Kandy was home to Sri Lanka's last independent kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Peradeniya University campus and catch a panoramic view of the picturesque town from Upper Lake Drive. In the evening, you will visit a Kandyan Dance performance and be treated to a spectacular fire walking finale. Kandy is also famous for its shopping, gems and jewelry, handicrafts, batiks, silks etc. And you will have the opportunity of browsing to your heart’s content. Upon completion, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Kandy

After your breakfast at the hotel proceed for a day trip to Nuwara eliya, en route visit Tea factory & Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple. Experience an authentic tea plucking experience, enjoy a guided visit to Tea Factory where the best tea in the world is produced. You may also have a chance of tasting pure cup of Ceylon Tea at the factory. Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple - according to the legend, this is where Lord Hanuman searched for Sita in the jungles above and behind the temple. There is supposed to be a stretch of barren land known as the ‘Chariot Path' on which Ravana took Sita to Ashoka Vatika to showcase the beauty of his kingdom to her. There is also said to be a pond - the ‘Sita Tear Pond' - here, which was formed from Sita's tears. The temple itself is one of the more enterprising establishments devoted to this legend, and contains a granite statue of Lord Hanuman that is said to be over 40 feet tall.It is believed that Lord Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi from these hills of Ramboda. Enjoy the sightseeing in Nuwara eliya, along the banks of Gregory Lake, enjoy the quaint town with its rose-tinted, British-country-village feeling, colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels and beautifully landscaped gardens. Nuwara Eliya, also known as little England, set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, lush green valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. Sitting high up in the hills, the green and pleasant city offers both a rich history and proximity to pristine natural areas. Return to Kandy, rest and relax. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Colombo

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Colombo. En route visit the Spice & Herbal Garden. The guest can experience a guided tour. Various organic herbs are known for having amazing medicinal, health and longevity properties. Herbal medication is the oldest form of medicinal practice in the world used for the treatment of physical and psychological ailments. Continue the journey to Colombo, check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Colombo.

Colombo

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to enjoy Colombo City tour with shopping. Explore the exotic city of Colombo. You will have a feel and look of Colombo Places: Galle Face, Pettah Bazaar, Town Hall, Colombo Museum, Independence square, Jami Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque and other major tourist attraction show around in Colombo city. Upon completion return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Colombo.

Departure

After breakfast, drive back to the airport to catch your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, your vehicle and guide may be retained to continue city tour and free time for shopping in Colombo.
