Covering about 10,000 square kilometers, this unique delta ecosystem is a mosaic of tidal waterways, mudflats, and islands. Home to the endangered Bengal tiger, diverse wildlife, and an array of plant species adapted to saline conditions, the Sundarbans is a critical buffer against coastal erosion and storm surges.
